All of our surfing coaches are trained to a high level to keep you safe in the water. Along with this you'll gain a deeper understanding of Newquay's tides, currents, and wave patterns. Developing ocean awareness is not only crucial for learning to surf but a life skill you can take away.

Equipment provided

We provide all surfing equipment needed to suit the season, from your summer wetsuits 3/2mm to 5mm winter wetsuits, gloves, hoods and boots for those eager surfers wanting to progress their surfing with an advanced surfing lesson.

Changing Rooms

The changing room serves as a functional space, a quiet preparation zone before immersing yourself in the unpredictable beauty of the ocean, embracing the simplicity of the surf experience.

Newquay Surfing Lessons FAQs

Yes, we always recommend using our wetsuits but feel free to use your own!

We are based in the heart of Newquay and are a short walk from both Towan & Fistral beach.  The tide and surf conditions of the day will decide which beach is best suited.

The minimum age for group lessons is 8 years old. Where possible we keep children and families together.

We offer a range of private surf lessons for younger children under the age of 8.

We’d suggest throw away one a day contact lenses for wearing in the sea.

No, all of our surf lessons include wetsuits & surfboards suited to your ability.

If you can’t swim we would advise that you do not take part in this activity. Much of your time will involve being in the water. If you are a weak swimmer please advise your surfing guides when you are completing your participation form.
